【Indications】

This prescription is very powerful in clearing the liver and diluting dampness. It can be used by those who suffer from excessive inflammation of the liver and gallbladder due to excess fire or dampness-heat, and who have no damage to body fluids and have sufficient physical strength to relieve bitter cold. In the prescription, gentian is bitter and cold, purging excess fire in the liver and gallbladder at the upper end, clearing away dampness and heat at the lower end.
