【Indications】

Feeling of wind and cold in the lungs, heavy voice and stuffy nose, dizziness, coughing and wheezing, unfavorable phlegm, babbling, irritability and fullness in the chest and abdomen, tightness in the neck and back, thin white tongue coating, and floating pulse.

【Fang Yi】
This prescription is suitable for symptoms of wind-cold invading the lungs, failure of the lungs to clear and descend, and phlegm-qi stagnation. In the prescription, ephedra is pungent and warm, soothes the lungs and relieves asthma. It induces sweating and relieves the surface. Almonds and perilla seeds reduce qi, resolve phlegm and relieve coughs. The root of phlegm is water, so tangerine peel is used to regulate qi and dry dampness. Mulberry bark is used to relieve the lungs and diuresis. Ling cocos exudes dampness and promotes water, causing qi to circulate and water to dispel phlegm, and Zhicao acts as an envoy to harmonize various medicines.
