【effect】

Xuanfei, clearing away heat, resolving phlegm and relieving asthma.

【Indications】

Asthma card. Wheezing and coughing, shortness of breath, thick yellow phlegm, distension and tightness in the chest and diaphragm, or fever and aversion to cold, yellow and greasy coating, and slippery and rapid pulse.

【Fang Yi】

This prescription is suitable for patients with internal phlegm-heat and external wind-cold. In the prescription, ephedra clears the lungs and relieves asthma, dispels wind and cold, and ginkgo astringes the lungs and calms asthma. The two herbs are the king.
